According to the Oregon State University Extension Service, depending on the weather, the seasons starts mid March and ends at the end of October. In my experience that is a good general time frame for those of us that live in the Willamette Valley.
Every property is unique and different owners would like different service levels. Therefore, it is important that someone come out and physically see your property and then discuss with you what you would like done to maintain your property. Some owners just want the minimal service at the lowest price. Others don’t mind paying a little more for more detailed service.
In my experience generally in spring and fall you would need weekly service. Depending on if you water your lawn or not in the summer would determine how often it would need to be cut. A lot of landscape companies either charge you by the month or insist on weekly service. I only charge you when your lawn is cut. If it only needs cutting once or twice in July and August, then that is all I charge.
Basic package is lawn mowing, trimming, blowing off debris from paved surfaces, and edging.
Additional services upon request are: Yard cleanup, mulching, trimming hedges & trees, leaf removal, grass bagging, lawn aeration, weed control, lawn fertilization, gutter cleaning.
